Savills, on behalf of a private vendor, has completed the sale of The Old Nene Golf & Country Club in Bodsey, Ramsey to Seaside Leisure Parks Ltd, for an undisclosed amount.

The Old Nene Golf & Country Club is a thriving and increasingly popular wedding venue as a result of its wonderful parkland setting and excellent facilities.  The property is located about a mile from the historic market town of Ramsey, on the edge of the Cambridgeshire Fens, with good access to the major road network.

The property has an excellent nine hole golf course that can also accommodate an 18-hole game, and there is also a purpose built floodlit driving range building providing 12 covered range bays.  The modern golf clubhouse provides a restaurant, bar/lounge areas, function rooms, a commercial kitchen and male/female changing and WC facilities across two floors.

The property benefits from seven luxury lodges which provide accommodation not only for wedding ceremonies but also make a perfect base for those wishing to explore the local amenities and attractions around the market town of Ramsey.

Kay Griffiths, Associate Director in the Leisure and Trade Related team at Savills, says: “We are delighted to have completed the sale of this popular golf and country club to Seaside Leisure Parks. The new owners will take over this successful business which has been developed into the thriving multipurpose venue it is today.”

A spokesman for Seaside Leisure Parks, said: “We are delighted to have purchased this wonderful property.  We congratulate the previous owners on their vision and are also delighted to have in place the existing and dedicated team who we are sure will help us continue to develop the business.  We look forward to welcoming existing customers and invite new customers to come and visit our wonderful new venue and experience the hospitality offered.”
